Soyfood or SOOYFOOD – What lies behind our name
When you hear "soyfood," you quickly think of generic soy products. But SOOYFOOD is something different. Our name was chosen deliberately – and tells a story.
What does soyfood actually mean?
"Soyfood" is an international umbrella term for soy-based foods. Tofu, soy drinks, soy flakes—all of these fall under this term. These products are usually made from imported beans, often from overseas.
Why we chose SOOYFOOD
We wanted to be more than just any soy food. That's why we came up with the name SOOYFOOD —a play on the words soy and the lowercase "oo," reminiscent of the round edamame.
- “SOO” stands for enthusiasm (“sooo good”).
- “Y” is the reference to “Soy”.
- “FOOD” clearly connects it with enjoyment and nutrition.
- This is how the generic Soyfood becomes an independent brand name: SOOYFOOD .
The difference lies in the origin
While classic “soyfood” is often based on Asian imports , we take a different approach:
- Our edamame come from Europe , not from overseas.
- We gently roast them and turn them into a healthy protein snack .
- Packaged in recyclable bags – no unnecessary waste, no artificial additives.
Conclusion
Soyfood is the general category – SOOYFOOD is the brand that redefines the term.
We show that soy snacks can be sustainable, local, and truly delicious.
